2 Months Have Passed
The last 2 months since Adam has joined our family have gone by very fast...so fast that I haven't updated our blog for a month:). Adam is turning out to be a really sweet little boy. He is very alert and strong now. He loves holding his head up and swinging it around to look at everything. He also loves being held and being rocked in his vibrating bouncer seat. I'm grateful that he isn't too fussy since he refuses to take a pacifier. We're loving having this boy in our family.
Below are some pictures of our boys for your viewing pleasure. I think it's hard to get a pictures of a babies that looks exactly like them, but the first picture really captures what Adam looks like when he is calm.
As we were getting ready for church Eli asked if he could hold Adam. I put Adam in his lap and started working on some church stuff at the computer next to the couch. The next thing I hear is Eli opening up the book next to him and reciting 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed to Adam. This was really the first brotherly bonding experience I have observed. It was heartwarming to see a glimpse of the friendship these two will have with each other in the coming years.

Announcing Adam
Our second son, Adam Reed Farnsworth, arrived last Thursday at 9:34pm weighing in at 7.8 pounds and 20 inches long. He's home now and both he and mother are doing great. Eli seems to be transitioning well and Joanna's mother, Nancy, is here helping out for the next few weeks (for which we are extremely grateful). Here are a few video's of the new guy. More to come...

Fire Station & Sunday Best
Eli and I visited a fire station with a group of our friends today. It was such a neat experience, and the kids were fascinated by it all. In the front of the fire station was a small museum with all sorts of old hoses, helmets, uniforms, and model fire trucks. There were even four wax figures modeling old fireman uniforms--one of which Eli thought was Santa.
While on the tour a fireman put all his gear on for us. He made sure the kids knew it was still him underneath his fireman mask. When he put on the mask Eli's reaction was to cover his mouth with his hands, giggle like a school girl, and exclaim"oh no, oh no". He didn't seem too scared--just a little anxious.
At the end of the tour we had the chance to look at the different fire trucks. Below are a few pictures taken at the end of the tour. Eli wouldn't smile for any pictures.
A friend of ours from church gave us a bunch of church clothes that her boys have outgrown. All of the outfits are these cute, snazzy shirts, vests, ties, and dressy pants. We've been having fun trying out a new outfit each Sunday morning. Below are a few pictures from 2 Sundays ago.

Picture Update
I just have a few minutes to update the blog, so I'm putting on some pictures from the past few weeks.
Below is Eli with the bag that his bed sheets came in. He likes to use it as a hat. He has this funny, squinty smile when posing for a picture with the camera now.
Well, he either uses the squinty smile or a thumbs up.
Below is me at 35 weeks 2 days. I'm pulling the bottom of the dress so that you can see how ginormous I am.
I love my bun recipe. Below are some pictures of them fresh out of the oven. There's nothing like homemade bread.
Jake snapped this picture before Eli's bedtime a few days ago. Yes Dad, I am wearing Jake's shirt with your picture on it. With my belly where your head is, your head looks 3-D.

New Bike
Eli got a new bike from his grandparents, and he is loving it. It's a PREbike, so it has two wheels but no pedals. The point is for the child to learn balance. Once they get the hang of it, kids are supposed to push off with their feet and then glide with their feet propped up on the side of the bike frame. Eli is still getting used to it, but he thinks it is so cool.

Zoo Pictures
Eli and I got to visit the Fort Worth zoo twice within the last month. The first time we went with Jake during his Spring Break. We didn't take a ton of pictures, but here are a few from our trip.
Some friends of ours who were going on a field trip to the zoo for their preschool invited us along. I didn't have my camera with me, but one of my friends emailed these pictures to me.
