How y'all doin'? After a LONG two days of driving, we finally made it to Denton, TX a week ago. The move went surprisingly well. By now we've unpacked all of our boxes except for a few boxes with random items.
We arrived in Denton early afternoon last Friday, and we were very proactive the first day we were here. We bought our washer and dryer, dining room table, and new desktop computer within 24 hours of arriving. It was a busy two days. We'll post pictures of our new apartment setup once we take some photos.
I also had my first prenatal visit here. My doctor seems nice (for the third time, thanks for the recommendation Kathryn!). Unlike the doctor I was seeing in Provo who didn't allow birth plans, this doctor actually asked me what my birth plan was and encouraged me to think about what I want my labor experience to be like. I'm going to open up the flood gates with this question, but any advice or suggestions of things to look into from you experienced birth experts? Some exciting news is that we will get to have the ultrasound that lets us know the gender of our little kiddo a week from tomorrow. I will definitely let you all know the news when we find out.
We miss all of you who are back in Provo. We had a great experience in Wymount and love all the friends we made there. Good memories of game nights with the Crocketts and Hawkes, walks and talks with Susie, late night conversations with the Robinsons, our first Thanksgiving turkey eatten with great people, eating anything chocolate with the Andersons, dinners with Aunt Helen and the Pahulus, visiting teaching Jessica, 4th of July and many more times with the Rogers, and so many many other fun times. Thanks for being our friends. We love you all.

We love you guys! We're so glad you are all settled. I still want to see pictures of your new table!!! I have plenty of advice concerning the birthplan, but I'll put it in an e-mail. I'm sure no one else cares to see what I say!
So glad that you guys are settled in and that the move went well for you. I love Texas. When we're all freezing our toes off in mid January, you guys will be living the good life in a much warmer climate! I cannot wait to find out what gender your kiddo is!!!
We love and miss you guys too! So excited for you though and can't wait to hear more about how you like Texas and of course the little babe!
Welcome to Denton! Jeremy loved that place on his mission. I hear about it all the time. Good luck with everything. I've heard that having a dula is a very helpful if you want a more natural birth and if you want to be well-educated about things.
Tell Mitzi that I want to know her advice, too!
How fun! I did not know you were expecting!
A big question for your doctor... is where did he intern? Ask what percentage were Cesarean sections.
Bradley method has good birth plans. They are even outline format, so you can pick and choose what you like.
Also "our bodies our selves" has tons of info! But be warned try to stay away from the pictures... they are graphic.
Use the power of discernment to see what is best for you!
Do you have a Doc or Midwife?
If Doc, see about finding a doula.

It is good to see that Anna's Farnsworth's will have a baby soon! : ) Shannon
JOANNA! I love your doctor. I could kiss him square on the mouth. He sounds like a great doctor! I am a huge fan of birth plans and doulas (good call, Sarahlynn, whoever you are). You know I love hypnobirthing and they have good information about writing a birth plan. Whatever you decide to do (and any decision if fine, if it's right for you) just make sure you take a good birthing class to give you the kind of information you need to achieve the kind of birth you want. I'm going to send you an email with more info (lucky you! hehe)
Jo! I wish I knew some advice to tell you on birthplans . . . but I don't. I have no clue about that yet. You're so ahead of the game!
You forgot to add...long boring days working with Car! Just kidding. Glad you made it! And good to hear you bought both the table and the computer! That's the way to do it :) As for my birthing plan...Lets just have a baby! Love ya! Can't wait for your news on Monday.
I'm so glad you're all settled! I'm still kind of sad that I didn't get to give you a hug goodbye...I know it's silly. But I'm excited to hear about the baby! That's really great that your doctor wants you to have a plan. My suggestion is just to stay open-minded, since you don't know what it will be like until it actually happens...in other words, if your plan changes, that's okay. And trust in your body's ability to give birth. (The best advice I got)
It looks great! As do you!
