Nighttime Attack

Quite a while ago I wrote a blog post about Jake talking in his sleep. Well, recently Jake has started a new nighttime tradition--whacking me with his elbow. Recently I have woken up in the middle of the night to find Jake with both hands behind his head and my head a few inches away from his elbow. This has resulted in a few blows to the head. Any advice in self defense while sleeping?

haha! Leland does that too. That's why I put spikes on the cheek and shoulder. Good luck with the baby! I've been reading your blog and you look really good for how far along you are.

That's exactly what used to happen to my mom! Poor thing. They got a king size bed; I suggest you do the same. =) unless you already have one, then tie a pillow around his elbow. hah!

I think the reasonable solution to this problem would be to put him in a straitjacket at night. Completely reasonable. That's all I can think of. =)

I have no suggestions, as Daniel has punched me in the back before. He also steals my pillows (of course, he won't admit it). I just wanted to tell you to sleep with your back to him so that he doesn't hit the baby! But then, he might hit the back of your head, which would be bad. Maybe he should sleep with his head at your feet. :)

I'm the guilty party in our duo. And my elbows are pointy. I'm sure Nate would also like advice on how to avoid my weapons in the night.

I am also the attacker at night. I always sleep with my arms up and frequently get Joe with my elbows. Yeah, a king size bed is the only thing I would say but even then it happens. You look so cute pregnant, Joanna!

Looks like a King size bed is the only solution Jo. Fortunately that's a sacrifice that I'm willing to make.

Rew did it too! I finally whacked him back once...gently... he hasn't repeated it since.

Sorry no suggestions here. Though I will have to say thank you for the laugh from both of us. But it sounds like a king size size bed might be an option or maybe the straight jacket. :)
